Frequently Asked Questions
WHy are you not in-network with my insurance?
Switching to an Out-Of-Network practice enables us to provide quality care without insurance companies dictating treatment progressions. It also enables us to provide 90 min evaluations and 60 minute one-on-one treatment sessions with each patient. This leads to fewer visits while achieving results quickly and more efficiently.
Most In-Network clinic see patient 2-3 sessions per week while we see patients 1-2 sessions per week which inevitably cuts cost for the patient and prevents likelihood of future physician appointments, medications, injections, and surgery.
We also provide extensive education on your diagnosis, answer all of your questions, and establish a progressive home/gym exercise program so that you can take control of your treatment!

do i need a physician's referral before starting treatment??
No. The state of Tennessee allows individuals to receive up to 90 days of physical therapy without a referral or signed “plan of care.” We can treat for beyond a month duration if we receive a referral or signed “plan of care”. No referral is needed to begin treatment. Upon examination, if it is determined that you need to see a physician for further testing, you will be recommended to do so prior to having treatment.
What can i expect from the treatment session?
Each Patient undergoes a comprehensive total body assessment (for those receiving Pelvic Floor therapy - patients will receive an external & internal pelvic exam, upon consent) and the treatment is designed to address the problems responsible for your pain and symptoms. Based on your symptoms, pain, and findings from the assessment, we will develop a plan of care that will get you on the path to achieving your goals.
Most people experience a change or significant different within 3 to 5 treatments. It is impossible to predict the exact number of visits you will need as everyone's individual challenges are unique. The typical patient is seen approximately for 1 visit a week, for about 4-12 visits.
Every patient is taught how to treat themselves at home by using a progressive home exercise program. You will receive a personalized treatment program for treatment and long term prevention of your condition so you can stay healthy, active and free of pain.

what is your cancellation/no show policy?
Your appointment time is reserved especially for you, and we make sure to focus the entire appointment on you and your needs. If you are running late, please understand that we cannot extend your appointment time as that will take away time from the patient whose appointment is booked after yours. If you need to cancel, please provide at least 48 hours notice so that we may accommodate others who are waiting for an appointment. The patient is responsible for full payment for late cancellations or missed appointments.
